Nothing beats a spring clean before you head out on the road. Whether you are driving for work or for pleasure, there is something about a clean car that just feels different, so check out our tips and get the marigolds on!

Check the glovebox

From our experience, it is always the place where things end up lurking. From napkins to sweets and everything else in between, have a root around in the glove box and make sure you’re stocked with essentials but nothing that is taking up precious room!

Hoover the nooks and crannies

Get out your thin nozzle and hoover down the sides of the seats and the back of them too. No matter how many times we say ‘no eating in the car’, it only ever lasts about two weeks so make sure you get hoovering and suck up all the bits and bobs that have made a home in your car.

Get the polish out

A wipe across the dash and your steering wheel will work wonders. It’s an often neglected area of the car (along with the gearstick) so show it some love and give it a polish during your spring clean.

Check your vitals

You should be doing this fortnightly anyway but just in case, check your oil and other fluid levels, your tyre pressure and the other vital parts of your car. You might want to give it a walk around too to check for any missed dents and scrapes, just to be on the safe side.
