Visiting the Peak District

Whether you like going up hills or down dales, the Peak District has something for everyone. Here are our top picks of places to visit so you can add them to your travel list.

Luds Church

Just outside of the market town of Leek and the perfect hidden gem. Make sure you wear sturdy shoes and a good coat, as the weather can be a little temperamental. However, the view is absolutely worth it and you will feel like you’re in a mythical land. Tag us in your photos if you visit so we can see!

Bakewell

Bakewell tart, anyone? If you’re looking for a laid-back atmosphere and independent shops and bakeries, Bakewell is the place for you. Surrounded by greenery and plenty to explore, pop it at the top of your list.

Mam Tor

Park, stay and eat in Edale and enjoy the walk up Mam Tor. Again, it is one that requires a little bit or walking gear and foresight but you can see for miles when you reach the top. Edale is also home to great country pubs and plenty of friendly folk, it’s one of our favourites for sure.

Sheffield

If you like more hustle and bustle, Sheffield might be the option for you. Known as Steel City and with shopping centres a-plenty as well as a busy high street, there is plenty for the city-lover, while still being a stone’s throw away from peace and quiet – the best of both worlds.
