Planning a staycation

If you are planning a staycation this year there are plenty of places to head to, from the coasts of Cornwall to the valleys of Wales and everywhere in between. Here are our tips so you can get your planning caps on and look forward to a break away

Shortlist your destinations
It can be quite overwhelming to know which way to head and where will tick all the boxes on your list. We would advise that you make a list of your top five destinations and then do your research from there to select the final destination.

Book accommodation in advance
With more and more people travelling within the UK this year, it is so important that you book your accommodation in advance. Whether you opt for a campsite or an Air BNB or something else altogether, do your research again and get booked in to avoid disappointment and being stuck in a pickle without a bed for the night, summer is set to be very busy.

Earmark what you would like to do
While we are fans of spontaneity, a loose plan is always good to have. From walks to beaches, museums to adventure parks and everything else that you fancy trying, make a note of the things you would like to do and then have them to hand for when you arrive.

Pack for almost all eventualities
Whether the forecast says rain or shine, we cannot rely on British weather to deliver the goods. Pack for both colder and warmer weather to avoid emergency trips to the supermarket for flip flops or wellies!
