We Finance Any Car targets GB3 success with new Tom Lebbon partnership

Car finance specialists We Finance Any Car can today confirm an extended partnership with rising star Tom Lebbon for the 2022 GB3 Championship partnered by the BRDC season.

We Finance Any Car supported the Bury St Edmunds-based teenager last season as he took his first steps into single-seater racing on the back of a successful year in the Ginetta Junior Championship – where he secured championship honours in 2020.

Despite his young age, and relative lack of experience compared to many of his on-track rivals, Tom enjoyed a hugely successful 2021 campaign in his Elite Motorsport-run car with a series of dazzling on-track performances, most notably in qualifying where he scored the fifth best average in the field.

Finishing in the top ten in 75% of the 24 races run, Tom ended the year in ninth place in the standings; grabbing a maiden podium finish at Donington Park in the process.

With a year of experience now under his belt, Tom will seek to fight for a maiden single-seater win and launch a bid for championship honours in the eight round, 24 race campaign which kicks off this weekend at Oulton Park.

Later rounds will see Tom on track at the likes of Brands Hatch, Silverstone and the famous Spa circuit in Belgium before the season draws to a close in mid-October.

Tom will also be competing at the wheel of an all-new car this year, with GB3 introducing an upgraded car that includes a halo for the first time amongst a raft of additional safety improvements whilst the engine will provide an additional 20bhp compared to the 2021 campaign.

Tom Lebbon said:

“It would be great to be a consistent contender for podiums and race wins this season as we showed strong pace last year, and my aim is to try and challenge for the championship title. It’s good to be staying with the same team for another season as we know how each other works.

“It’s also great to be working with the team at We Finance Any Car for another year and I think the car looks fantastic, like it did last year. I can’t wait to get started this weekend.”

Dan Kirby, We Finance Any Car managing director, said:

“We’re delighted to support Tom for a second season in 2022 and are hugely excited to see what he can achieve on track. To move into single-seaters last year at such a young age and do the job he did was really impressive and his performances on track showed how much potential he has.

“The grid for this season is looking very strong but we feel confident that Tom can make a real impression this year and will be one of the championship contenders when we get to the business end of the campaign.

“The We Finance Any Car entry will certainly be one of the most eye-catching in the field again, and we are looking forward to seeing it regularly fighting towards the front of the field.”
